2. User Accounts
- 2.1 Account Creation
To access the main features of the platform, users must create an account using accurate and up-to-date information. Each account represents an individual student, school, or organization. False or incomplete registration information may lead to account suspension or removal. - 2.2 Account Responsibility
Users are responsible for all actions performed under their account. Passwords and login credentials must be kept secure at all times. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify the Brightpath Volunteer team immediately. - 2.3 Eligibility
The platform is intended for users aged 13 and older.
Students under 13 may only participate with verified parental or school consent.Schools and organizations are responsible for ensuring participants meet these age and consent requirements. - 2.4 Account Use
Accounts are personal and cannot be shared or transferred to others.Users must use the platform only for legitimate volunteering and educational purposes.
Any attempt to falsify hours, impersonate another person, or misuse platform tools will result in disciplinary action or termination. - 2.5 Account Termination
Brightpath Volunteer reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the system, or attempt to manipulate event participation or certification.Users may delete their account at any time through the profile settings page.All data related to the deleted account, including certificates and hours, will be permanently removed.
3. Use of the Service
- 3.1 Permitted Use
Users may use the Brightpath Volunteer platform only for legitimate purposes related to volunteering, community service, and education. The platform is intended to help students find and join events, allow schools and organizations to manage activities, and track verified hours. - 3.2 Prohibited Actions
To maintain a safe and fair environment, users may not:
- Impersonate another person, school, or organization.
- Create or post false events or information.
- Attempt to falsify or manipulate volunteer hours.
- Share private information about other users without consent.
- Upload or share harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content.
- Try to hack, disrupt, or damage the platform in any way.
- 3.3 Event Participation
When joining an event, users must follow all event-specific rules and instructions provided by the organizer. Volunteer hours will only be approved if attendance is verified by the event host or through Brightpath’s check-in system. - 3.4 Certificates and Verification
Certificates are automatically generated after an event is verified by an organizer, school, or moderator.
Users must not edit or distribute false certificates. Any attempt to forge or duplicate a certificate will result in immediate account termination and possible legal action. - 3.5 Communication
The platform includes messaging tools and notifications to connect students, schools, and organizations.
Users must communicate respectfully and avoid any form of harassment, spam, or misleading information.
Brightpath reserves the right to remove messages or suspend users who violate communication rules. - 3.6 Platform Integrity
All activity on Brightpath Volunteer is monitored to ensure fairness and safety. Any detected misuse — including artificial data manipulation, fake accounts, or event exploitation — will result in disciplinary action. We reserve the right to report serious violations to appropriate authorities or institutions.
4. Event and Certificate Management
- 4.1 Event Creation
Schools, organizations, and verified partners can create events on the Brightpath Volunteer platform. All event information — including title, description, date, location, and volunteer capacity — must be accurate and up to date. Organizers are responsible for managing participant registrations and providing clear event instructions. - 4.2 Event Approval and Visibility
Before being published, events may be reviewed by Brightpath moderators to ensure they meet community and safety standards. Approved events become visible to students based on category, location, and eligibility settings. Brightpath reserves the right to remove or modify any event that violates the Terms of Use or misrepresents information. - 4.3 Student Participation and Attendance
Students must register for events through their Brightpath account and check in at the start of the event using the provided QR code or organizer verification.
Only verified attendance will count toward volunteer hours. Leaving an event early or failing to check out properly may result in partial or unapproved hours. - 4.4 Organizer Responsibilities
Organizers are responsible for confirming attendance, reporting accurate volunteer hours, and maintaining a respectful environment. They must not falsify records or approve hours that were not earned. Organizers are also expected to respond to student or moderator inquiries within a reasonable time. - 4.5 Certificate Generation
Once an event is verified, Brightpath automatically generates a digital certificate for each participating student. Certificates include the event name, total verified hours, date, and signature of the approving organization or school. Certificates are stored in each student’s profile and can be downloaded or shared. - 4.6 Certificate Verification
Each certificate includes a unique verification code or QR link. Anyone can verify the authenticity of a certificate by entering the code on the Certificate Verification page.
Brightpath may revoke certificates proven to be fraudulent or based on false data - 4.7 Record Accuracy
All volunteer hours and event records must reflect actual participation. Brightpath periodically audits event data to maintain accuracy and transparency. Repeated violations or falsifications may result in permanent account removal for both students and organizers.
5. Intellectual Property
- 5.1 Ownership
All content on the Brightpath Volunteer platform — including text, graphics, logos, designs, icons, and software — is owned by Brightpath Volunteer or its authorized partners. All materials are protected by copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of the platform without written permission from Brightpath . - 5.2 User-Generated Content
When users (students, schools, or organizations) upload content such as event descriptions, photos, or logos, they retain ownership of their materials. However, by uploading to the platform, users grant Brightpath Volunteer a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, use, and share this content for operational and promotional purposes within the platform. - 5.3 Trademarks and Branding
The Brightpath Volunteer name, logo, and all related design elements are trademarks of the project and may not be used without prior written consent. Unauthorized use of Brightpath branding, such as imitation websites or materials, is strictly prohibited.
6. Privacy and Data

Brightpath Volunteer collects only the information necessary to provide and improve our services.
This may include your name, email address, school name, volunteer activity, and basic technical information such as browser type and device ID. - 6.2 Data Usage
